no i just dont see how you can be a burtonite when you are so down on his batman films and not see the imortance and influence of them without thinking about other peoples perceptions. my wee brother is like you, you think your liberal and fair but your not, your patronising.

But this will be continued as I have to go now.

I think we can all agree that any effort to get any sort of merchandise for Burton's films will be always be an up hill struggle.

Yes, these items would be for a niche market - and that can make them non-profitable.

Yes, if launched as part of a "Movie" range that included all Batmen it might be seen to be more market-able.

Can we keep talk about labels (where members are concerned) to a minimum please. ;)

It must be fun to see things in black-and-white. Believe it or not, loving Burton's films so much does not imbue them with more influence or importance than they do have. Do they have some? Yes, much. But not to the degree that you'd like to believe they do.

Apparently to you, if you doubt anything about something, you're not really a fan. I'll tell you the truth; I simply have the sense that God gave a doorknob, and I'm not deluded about the way things are. Have you been out in the real world lately? There's a reason that TDK is the talk of the town and B89 isn't. If B89 was as important as you think it is, things wouldn't be the way they are. It was vastly influential and very important.... but not in a way that will make it stand out amongst the crowd. It's potential for that was stolen by S:TM's existance.

I don't have to think about other's perceptions when I'm speaking of facts because.... people's perceptions are not fact. Your perceptions are beliefs about B89's importance is not fact. I'm trying to set the record straight. The truth hurts if it shatters your perceptions. So that does not make me patronizing, and it makes me quite fair.

BATMAN is my most favorite film of all time. Number one. No film has had a greater effect on my life. Nor have I ever seen any other film as many times. I can't even put into words what the film means to me (Don't worry, Returns too). If B89 were a woman, I would marry her. But I'm not living in a false paradise where I can't see the truth of things. I doubt anyone loves this film more than me. Trust me. I've had a passion for this film ever since I was three years old.

And finally, I'm quite conservative.

Fact. That would be one of the only ways we'd get any kind of major release of new B89-related merchandise.

and that would be fine by me. I want new representations of all the past films. 89 would just be the icing on the cake. :)

True. I'd love to have high quality (yet still mass market) versions of each Batman. Dating back to Wilson, Lowery and West.

Yes, even Clooney.

for me, i would buy the set and then give the B&R stuff to my little sister - just like i did with the SE DVDs! 8)

Oh, c'mon. You gotta love B&R. It's comedy gold!

Fools gold!  ;)

Actually she stole B&R from me. I keep meaning to get it back - just so i can listen to Schumacher apologise over and over again.  ;D

i honestly don't think DocLathropBrown is the voice of reason, i do believe that the figures are marketeable, he is stuck trying to say not, but i believe that the real reason the figures are not there, are becouse of the copyrights, i believe that each film has a diferent producer and that make the profits go to diferent places. that make it dificult i believe.

i see a lot of figures of many characters that has been replaced in some series, dc direct has a collection of every comic adventure of the superheroes(like: Alex Ross Justice, Superman & Batman, JLA Classified, JLA, there are too many take a look you DocLathropBrown http://www.dccomics.com/dcdirect/?cat=ACTION+FIGURES ) that means that the figures are sculped based on the artist who draws the comic

But if any toy company see the demand ($$$), i believe that someday they'll make it, but i insist i believe that the problem are copyrights

Plaese Don't underestimate the iconic pop culture classic: Burton's Batman Films, there are a big influence in the superheroe film history, only one step below Christopher Reeve' Superman, but i believe that Burton's Batman opens a road to the crow, Matrix, Spawn and many other films and dark superheroes in comics. still now many people like me believe that Burton's films are better than Nolan's, that really says something, i mean 2 films competing with 20 years of diference, make the older better, and i have to say that even Nolan make his choices in what Burton has done.

Burton's Batman is not going to be a classic, IS A CLASSIC!!!!

MAKE A CAMPAIN!!!!
