And to think people were paying for a movie ticket back then just to watch a teaser trailer, and then leaving the theater before the main attraction began.  Guber and Peters may be dicks, but they sure knew how to build they hype, didn't they?

All the research I personally did on the marketing of Batman and all the behind the scenes of the marketing seen in interviews on the SE dvd, definitely leads me to believe that Batman still has the slickest marketing campaign ever for a film, bar none.
