One thing he left out is that both movies start off with the heroes being criminals.

Very interesting, most of it I believe are coincidences but a few seem quite similar, you never know if Nolan used The Shadow as a reference in certain scenes.

I agree.

Except for The Shadow. I'll always defend that film against its critics.

I know this is entirely off topic, but I don't consider Baldwin a 'complete failure' if only for his blistering cameo in Glengarry Glen Ross.  He's a good actor IMHO.
