Looking at having a kid freindly script, i'd say they just wanted to have him away so they could make it more for kids.

If it's money then boy are they greedy!! BR made double the budget back.

I must say it is impresive in that BM made what it did on only 3 or 4 countries as I looked on the numbers. Most likely they wanted to have it happen again. You have to remember that BM was made on just over 30million too.

This means that WB messed it up one method or another. It took Nolan to give back another serious BatMan film.

It's not us that should get over "hating" a crap movie that is anyway entertaining in a "Bad Movie" sort of way. All of us moved on long ago from the "B&R hater" phase we were 1997-98. Batman returned to the screen, and we realised that the franchise went to hell, creative-wise, before B&R. Ever since Tommy Lee Jones said his first line of dialogue or Val Kilmer bored his way through the set in a batsuit with nipples, Batman had left the building.

Joel Schumacher should get over his constant need to appear as a savior of a "dead" Batman franchise after that "huge bomb", Batman Returns, which Burton did the way he did because he "was depressed" (yeah, I guess he's been "depressed" his whole life with his personal style in filmmaking), and because he "didn't want to do a third one".

I'm one of those fans that don't care anymore, honestly, but I'm mad when inaccurate things like that are being said. There are so many things wrong with what's being said here, and totally contradictory with many other, more reliable, sources, including the DVDs themselves.
