BATMAN ENIGMA, a third Burton story fan series, is out now with issue 1.

This was fun. There are some things adapted from Hamm's Batman 2 script, like the copycat vigilantes, the bat-merchandise, and the scene where Robin makes his debut in the park. It reminds me a bit of the comic book sequel to the Super Mario Bros movie that appeared online a while back. Unfortunately that project ended up being abandoned halfway through, but hopefully this one won't be.

The next year or so will be the last chance for this kind of Bat-Burton fan fic to have any impact. Once The Flash movie is out, we'll be seeing more of Burton's Batman in the films and possibly in official tie-in comics. So if there are any other long-gestating fan projects out there, now's the time to get them finished.
