Wait for it...wait for it...

Man that looks terrible.

I love the original Arthur, it seemed like it would be an impossible formula to mess up... but they've done it.

Never saw the original. But any movie which features a man running away from Jennifer Garner has lost my confidence.

In the trailer it seems they're mixing the first and second film together.

I tried watching the Arthur remake once, but I never could get into it. It's yet another pointless remake that doesn't match the original. Plus, Russell Brand and movies just don't mix.

I was surprised to see Helen Mirren in this, she must've taken it for the pay. Come to think of it, she would've been a good fit to play Leslie Thompkins in a Batman movie. Too bad Arthur will be the closest thing we'll ever see that happening.

Still, it was a surprise to see Kilmer's Batsuit and Batmobile paid homage to in a 2011 movie. But I could've done without watching Brand touching the Batnipples:

Here are some footage people took of the Batmobile during filming at the time:

Somehow, I can just sort of imagine a Russell Brand Batman comedy movie would actually do alright in the "fun" obsessed film market nowadays.

QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.
