With Gotham itself being the setting, it is indeed one of the most important aesthetic.

I agree. However, I cannot see that aspect changing, unless they use more of the Narrows. The die is cast in this regard. The only hope we have for another Gothic hell hole is a reboot. At least with the Batcave, we're guaranteed to get something that looks different to BB's incarnation.

You're right, we already know where Nolan is going with the look of Gotham. he likes that modern, industrialized maybe metropolitan look. I don't mind it but Gotham of '89 will always be my favourite.

Does this remind you of anything? Well, since they chose to film in Pittsburgh...

It's a real building, but don't count on seeing it in the film. It's got too much spark for Nolan. It's not boring enough.

True Dark Knight, maybe too intricate and stunning for Nolan, LOL, anyway this does have a look like the cathedral from Batman '89, especially those vertical lines.

Well, some 'stuff' has been leaked, the logo and batsuit design in the form of a computer rendered image. Or it could be an action figure. Anyway, my thoughts? Underwhelming. WB are sticking to a formula here (TDK formula) and as a result, they are producing a lackluster and repetitive feel. Having "The Dark Knight" in the title again was an early sign. But we've got the same blue bat logo from TDK but non shattered, and the same robo batsuit. He could switch suits at some stage, but I'm just going on what I see now. I think each film should have individual identity. For example, using a different colour for the logo like red or green. Like B89 has the gold, and BR has the snow look.  You get the idea. Burton didn't come on board to do the same thing over and over again.
