You shoudl take a look at the comments too, it's great to see a lot of people still defending Batman '89, with many having great memories of it.

Yep. And it just doesn't come down to all those years of familiarity with his performance, either. It comes down to the quality of that performance, and the fact Jack is tailor made for The Joker. Just listen to his voice, it threatens violence, but also has a tinge of warmness to it. And the beauty of it all is that Jack did not alter his voice at all like Heath.

Just being Jack Nicholson is viewed as phoning in a performance by some. Yet the man did not have to act the part. The best acting is when you do not act at all. When I watch B89, I see a man effortlessly in character and having a ball. It just comes to him, and he knows what to do and when. I don't know what else you could really ask for.

Oh, and nice picture by the way.

Shame on you guys...we had that photo over two and a half years ago!  ;)

LOL, sorry Ral, I skimmed through the photos to make sure we didn't have it, I guess I missed it. Still a great pic and Dark Knight makes some excellent points. As a member of IMDB once had as his signature, "If Jack Nicholson played himself when he was the Joker, then Jack Nicholson IS The Joker"
;D ;D ;D
