Smallville Season 8--warning! Some minor spoilers

Well, here we are at the beginning of Season 10. 

Season 8 suffered from 'Season 5' syndrome:  started off spectacularly well, stumbled (once the show was renewed and Welling contracted for 2 more seasons, you could almost hear the brakes squeal and squeak on the story-arc and character development), and barely recovered, ending in a disappointing fight scene and heroes distrustful of one another.

Season 9, thankfully, got all of the big notes right--and even the filler episodes weren't too offensive, save for one or two.  'Salvation,' as the season finale, is probably one of the series' best written episodes.  Honestly, I'm real pleased where this show is, minor quibbles aside.

The information leaked at comic-con seems *real* promising, so here's hoping.
