Harley Quinn ... Dr. Harleen Quinzel ...

Oh I just madly love her. Ever since I first laid eyes on her during the early 1990's with the animated series, Harley's been a favourite. Though it took awhile, it was a real treat to finally see her introduced into the Post-Crisis DCU continuity during the late 1990's, and yeah ... I own the complete 38 issue run of her series as well.

Needless to say, I'm quite looking forward to seeing Harley paired up with Poison Ivy and Catwoman in this upcoming Gotham City Sirens:-*  ;D

The character was TOO much like Prank from The Trickster episodes of The Flash.

Which show came first? The answer to that question is the same as yours, ral.

Harley Quinn is a great character IMO. The Joker doesn't need her as a sidekick, but I think she's a good addition to the cast. Comics have become overpopulated with dark, angst-driven characters; even the Batman world need someone light and silly once and a while. And the Mad Love origin is enough to justify her existence, both as a character and as the Joker's gun moll; he may or may not give a damn about her, but she's someone he knows he can manipulate into doing whatever he wants.
