How to Re-Shape your 89 cowl?

I'm wondering what you have to do in order to re-shape an 89 Cowl? Especially if it's rubber, or vinyl latex. Is there an easy alternative to customizing the mask without ruining it.

By lightly sanding some of the edges, cleaning the surface and re-painting it?? :-\ Is this possible or not?

depends on what material its made of. What are you trying to repair exactly? Have a picture?  :)

It's not really repairable.....I tried already.....and it looks alright now that I--....I guess I.....DAMMIT I HATE RUBBER!!
