I saw this trailer for a new movie produced by James Gunn...which appears to be a twisted horror parody of Man of Steel. Notice how so many scenes and visuals are literally copied from the Snyder movie.

QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

I shall call this Superman: The Horror Movie...

Finally watched this movie. And I have to say, not bad at all for what it aspires to be.

Frankly, it reminds me of the old Pre-Crisis Earth 3. Earth 1's heroes (Batman, Superman, et. al.) were Earth 3's villains (Owlman, Ultraman, et. al.). The end credits back this up with references to Batman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman figures being mentioned or seen.

I can understand if Brightburn isn't everybody's brand of vodka. But I rather enjoyed it as a horror take/Earth 3 version of Superman.
