Can't wait for that to arrive. To tell you the truth, I can't spot radical differences in the HD DVD and standard DVD screenshots. Here's hoping the 1080p quality blows me away.

You maybe can't tell from the screenshots, but the opening shots of Gotham are breathtaking.  The city really seems alive - you can read signs and get a sense of the grandure and scale of the city.

The city really was bursting with life, I watched it some weeks ago on my 2-disc SE dvd, and it had amazing quality. The Gotham City from Burton's films are still the best for me.

I think they are re-releasing the DVD for Batman in december. I wonder if there will be any new extras....
