I wonder how this gotham would look in a warmer setting like it's 89 counterpart. For me the snow and christmas fit so much with this design that is seems impossible to separate!

I don't believe it would be the same movie without the snow. I feel it'd be more like Batman '89 with the Penguin instead of the Joker.

And Burton wanted something different from the first movie, something that was more like his own vision than Batman (1989) was.

I think BR's sets would've looked even more like sets without the snow than they do right now. I don't think it would've benefited the movie at all.
