Oh wow, Vicki Vale has the most screen time. I didn't realize that. Good to see that Bruce Wayne/Batman is equal.

As one of the "normal" heroes of the movie, it's interesting to see how integral Vicki was to the movie, appearing the most. I also love the balance between Bruce Wayne and Batman scenes. Really great stuff.

Like I once said, Vicki is like an avatar to an audience who might not know anything about Batman. The closest character that people can sort of relate to because she's putting the pieces together who Bruce Wayne really is.

I was surprised too when doing my tally how much screen time she got but after consideration it's not that surprising; she's the glue that ties the entire film together. Batman is an urban myth in which she is picking up the pieces too. Even Bruce Wayne seems to be somewhat of an urban legend; it's known he exists but he's not recognizable even to reporters. She of course develops feelings for both and the Joker develops feelings for her (this is one of the only superhero film I can think of in which the hero and villain have the same love interest). It also gives more meaning to the end cathedral scene; I know the damsell in distress got overdone in recent superhero films (thanks Sam Raimi) but this one had more meat to it than the tiresome "I'll set a trap for the hero by using the girl as bait".

Very interesting. I was the one who originally did all the Bat-screen times for the movies, but I never thought to do all the characters.

You should think about doing TDK next, to see how much more time the two Joker's have on each other.
