Hello everyone,

I'm new I've looked around and haven't found this subject dealt with directly anywhere else.

When I went to see Batman Begins I thought I was going to see a reboot, that is to say that it was a re-telling of the batman legend, and not a prequel to Batman 89.

At the end of the film though I wasn't so sure, it seemed with the rebuilding of Wayne Manor and foreshadowing of the Joker that it worked as a story that could fit before B89.

When I saw that TDK featured the Joker, and I changed my mind back again and figured that Batman Begins started a new series of films a new retelling.

Now I notice people refering to TDK as the 6th Batman film in the series.

I love discussing stuff like this, sorry if its old news here.

So are we dealing with the same batman in all the films?

The Batman series rebooted with Batman Begins, as has no ties to the Burton/Schumacher series.

Are you serious?

People call it the 6th film because it is the 6th film, however the story is part of a continuity relaunch that started with Begins.
