Agreed. I also liked the movie (I have watched only the theatrical version, have to check out the new Cut soon), and I feel some of the criticism it received was unfair or prejudiced. I also agree that one needs to be familiar with the original comic book to enjoy it more.

I even didn't have a problem with Ozymandias looking like a David Bowie-clone dressed up as a Schumacher Robin, I laughed when I saw the first promo stills, but it worked on film.
