Here are a couple of items I thought someone here would be interested in obtaining.  The first listing is for the Batman Returns VHS P.O.P. brochure.

The second one if for the Batman Forever VHS P.O.P. brochure.

I'd grab them myself if my budget would allow me to, but since it won't, I figured someone on this board could give them a good home.

Just wanted to give a heads up, the movie channel Encore will be running a Christopher Reeve Superman marathon on October 16th.  Not sure which version of Superman II is airing, but I honestly don't care.  It will be fun to watch all four them back to back to back to back!!!  :)

That's cool!  May have to track that down on Ebay someday as I have my doubts that it will show up in a used book store around these neck of the woods.

OK my European brothers and sisters and anyone else who is in the know,

I am wondering something.  Was the Batman 1989 novelization only available in the UK/Europe as a hardcover book, with the paperback being an import or was both versions readily available at the same time for you folks?

By my count there are three versions of this book:

(1) The standard mass market paperback.
(2) The hardcover version which from my understanding was only available in the UK/Europe, and maybe Canada.
(3) The book club edition, which seems to have been edited down.

Am I missing any other versions that you are known to exist?  Sure I would consider any versions in other languages other than English another version.

If anyone can help me out on those two questions, it would be a big help!

Thanks!

From what I have heard they are definitely producing a Reeve model, however due to Matel releasing Superman movie toys this year they can't promote or announce anything until next year.

I would hope Keaton was only a matter of time.

Matel is releasing Superman movie toys?!?!?!  Did I miss something?  Is this for the common man or is this one of them  $5000 collector items?  I am most intrigued!

Thank you for the clarification!

You are a lucky man!  So, how did the suit feel?

Very cool stuff!!!  Thank you for this!!   :) :)

Was that an original Batmobile or was that a replica?  I'll be honest, I can't tell the difference anymore between the real thing and the replicas.  What did the information marker say?  If I didn't think I would set off too many alarms, I would loved to reach over and just touch that suit.  That would be a dream come true!

Awesome!  Thank You!

The issue here is I don't think they expected this kind of 'high volume' for BATMAN, thus the confusion and need for review, which only proves that a Limited Release of 5000 units was ridiculous.

Agreed!  Sure I envy you all who have got the money and the opportunity to grab this while the getting is good, but seriously, 5000 units is complete bull****!  I hate limited editions, iTunes exclusives and anything else that pretty much cuts the majority of the buying market out of a market that quite frankly needs buyers!

Warners should have kept this to themselves and issued it; at least you know there would have been more than 5000 copies and maybe sold in stores.  (I don't know about being sold in stores now that I think about it.  Every time I look for a CD in a store anymore, the racks seem emptier and emptier and space for display is becoming smaller and smaller.)  I mean seriously, it was mentioned that there were copies for sell at the San Diego Comic Con before the July 27 order date.  How many copies were sold there I wonder, because when July 27 rolled around, you know damn good and well there wasn't an honest 5000 copies ready to be sold since some of the 5000 copies had already been sold the previous weekend.

So like I said, I envy those who have it, and will get it.  And if and when I find a download link thanks in part to someone's generosity, I will indeed pass it along.

I work at a closeout store and we have had two ECTO-1's come through! If I had known, i would have snapped one up.

If you happen to see one or two come back in, I say grab them both!  I have no clue as to how many are in a case, but from what I can tell, not many.  I got my first one from a guy I know at a flea market and the second one I found in one of those large dump bins that Wal-Mart uses from time to time for Hot Wheels overflow.  I opened the second one and is now resting with a Batmobile and a Supermobile.

Also a few other things to keep an eye out for are the Hot Wheels Batmobile Monster Truck 2 pack which packages a Batmobile monster truck and a 1989 Batmobile (it's the same one from the 2004 release, except this one has a Bat-symbol on the canopy.  The second thing is the Hot Wheels Nolan Batmobile Custom Motors.  It's kinda neat since you get mix and match new parts and build your own Batmobile.  And finally Hot Wheels added the Nolan Batmobile to their Color Shifters line.  Just dunk it in water and it changes from the camo paint scheme to an all black!  Also don't forget to stop in your local Toys R Us and see if you're luck enough to find some of the Hot Wheels Batman 1/50 scale vehicles.  So far they have the 1989 Batmobile, the Bat-Wing, the Bat-Missile and The Bat-Skiboat out, along with the 1966 Batmobile, 1966 Batcycle, 1966 Batboat, the Batmobile from Superfriends, the Animated Series Batmobile and both the camo and black Nolan Batmobiles.  With more to come later on down the road.  It's hit or miss a lot of the times when you stop in, and yes, a bit pricey at $9+ dollars a car, but they are oh so cool and oh so worth it!

So with The Brave and The Bold and all these other fine cars, us toy collectors should be happy for awhile!

Here is a pic of Ecto-1 if anyone is interested:
