My favourite would have to be the Penguin`s death because its sad, tragic and beatifual all at the same time. And despite what vile things you just witnessed the Penguin do you still feel sorry for him in his last moments. In addition for me this scene is what eleveated Penguin to the status of tragic villain imo.

My second favourite would have to be the death of the Waynes. Its haunting and sad, the Elfman music during this moment is perfect to and the slow quality to it with the mist to just adds to the scene. This imo is the best depication of the Wayne`s death in any Batman movie yes even inculding Begins which was done in a flash.
I didn't feel bad for the Penguin one bit. He was evil all along, why would he have killed that cat when he was a baby (assuming he did) if he wasn't evil?

I thought I'd post this here. I got an LP of Elfman's soundtrack at a flea market.

Cool!!!!  What did you pay for it if I may ask?  I think I paid $10 for mine at a record store 10 years ago or so.  It may have been more.  I also got Prince's Batman LP at the same time.  I think I paid $16 for that one.  Either way, it's a great find!  Congrats!
I paid $6.00 for a vinyl copy on eBay.  8)

Jokers death is my favorite, the entire sequence is great, the music is perfect, and the shot of his dead corpse is creepy.

Cinema audiences over here in Ireland are fairly backward and don't clap when a movie ends.

The only time I saw it was the fly-over at the end of Superman Returns.

I'd definitely be cheering for Batman on the big screen.
That's the way it is where I live, which is in the U.S. I've never had an audience clap or cheer at my local theater. Well, actually there was some clapping at the end of Star Wars Episode III, which boggled my mind.

@The Dark Knight: I'm sooooooooo jealous, glad you had a great time seeing Batman on the big screen. I hope have that opportunity some day.

Not implying there was a deleted scene. Just always wondered if it was supposed to be at the start of the movie? in some form. Most of the recent Batman films opened up with a version of the emblem.
Ahhh, gotcha! 8)

So was the snowy batemblem just created for the trailer? Or was it originally placed at the start of the movie like in '89?

I smell a new thread... ;D
Are you implying there was a deleted scene or something? Or have you not seen Batman Returns?  :-\ I'm confused.

I always hate it when the iconography of the Batman movies mixes with politics. I'd say this poster looks a bit like like Alfred Newman.
Haha, that's what I thought as well. Don't care for it though, but that's because I'm a die-hard Obamaite. Anyway, back to Joker's Death....
