Excellent post!

I took the fins out and forgot to put them in for the pictures.

All three fins are mounted to a single rubber strip and poke through 3 holes in the gloves.

At some point, I will get a chance to take some new pics and post them.

I think it ended around $4k.

I didn't think it would go that high, but you definitely don't see these come around very often that just look right, even if a bit beat up. I think the emblem is real, too, so maybe the price isn't too bad.

Technically, film is an analog medium, and is not measured by in pixels or lines, but Doc is basically right in that when 35mm film is digitized, it is often output at 2k & 4k lines of resolution with an even higher theoretical limit. At least the film recorders I used 10 years ago when I worked at a digital service bureau did.

I am stoked for these Blu-Rays.

They are actually pretty "normal" thickness, like any of the unlined motorcycle gloves like Fieldsheer, Thunderwear, Olympia, etc. which is not that thick.

They are a little big on me, so that might add to the illusion.

If you want to see thick leather, check out the AA gloves in my sales page:

(Sorry, raleagh. I wasn't sure where you would want it. I figured the gloves might be more applicable to the movie itself than regular memorabilia.)

Unlike the later gloves, the '89 & Returns have little substrate, so they are a bit floppy.  So unless you are wearing forearm armor, which typically I am not  :) they are a bit loose, at least on me.

The hands on these are a bit stretched out, and have holes in the tips of the index fingers. You can tell they saw a lot of use in the movie, most likely by a primary stunt man like Lea.

I have the fins, too and will post pics of them as well.

As an aside, I just want to say that I love this site and the passion & participation of the members here. Especially the hard-core '89ers. Out of sheer inertia, I post first on the BOTB, but really I feel more at home here.
