I thought that Gotham looked a little like Burton's durning the flyover at the begining of "In Darkness Dwells"

You also have to consider the mainstreem non fans that look at this film as the 6 Batman movie they've had paraided around that are going to quickly dismiss it as yet another Batman flick.

judging from all the "OMG dis is teh greatest movie EVAH!!!"'s I'm hearing people arn't dismissing it as yet another Batman flick.

About the whole Dent thing at the end, I didn't really have a problem with it because
1. Batman's purpose is to strike fear into the hearts of criminals not inspire the good people of Gotham
2. Telling people that the person they saw as a savior turned out to be a nut job isn't going instill a lot of hope
3. Having Batman as the hero would just create more copycats and more trouble. By having Dent be a martyr it will get people behind the police and perhaps even make them join helping to create a few more "good cops"

I don't know if this was intended or not but during the masquerade in Returns there is someone dressed up as the red death (on the staircase when Selina enters).
Could be a subtle nod to Phantom of the Opera.

5. Bruce sitting in the chair and having the Bat Signal turn on.
4. The ending.
3. Bruce and Selina finding out who they are.
2. Selina turning into Catwoman.
1. Shreck's death/Penguin coming back.

I voted for the duck. It's so versatile (ground vehicle, water craft, scissor lift).

I've actually noticed a lot of people calling for Nolan to not do a sequal.

....although their reasoning is that TDK was "so perfect nothing can top it"

This could be just because they come from the same source material but I noticed alot of what I like to think are nods to B89.

For example
-The scene with the Batpod where the Joker is saying "come on and hit me" reminded me so much of B89
-The fact that Joker falls off the building (although he is saved this time round)

If anyone noticed others please post.
