I'm a huge Kubrick fan, and I love Eyes Wide Shut, but I think 2001 is still my favorite from him.

I need to do another Kubrick marathon soon.

My favorite Kubrick films are Dr. Strangelove and Full Metal Jacket, although 2001 is damn fine.

It's showtime! 

The Flash is done. Work has completed, and in just over a month's time it will screen at Cinemacon. Be prepared for spoilers!

Mind you, the other way of looking at it is that there are hardcore Fantastic Four fans who would probably LOVE to have the Superman fanbase's problems of having too many choices.

Tell me about it. At this point the unreleased 1994 FF movie is the best we have, in my opinion. It has a nice "B-movie" charm.

Not that 2005, 2007 and 2015 were much worse, they weren't.

I still love the Harry Potter books. Maybe not as much as I did when I was a child/teenager, but I certainly do.

As for the movies, I regard the second movie as the best. Faithful to the book but also having its personal touch. The first movie was good, but lacked some unique personality. The third movie on the other hand tried to distance itself too much from the book, and I didn't enjoy it. The fourth movie was a large failure in my eves, as was the sixth. The sixth book is actually my favorite. The fifth movie was second best. And then the last two movies were pretty good due to the fact that they had enough space to adapt a single book.

So, I'd rank the movies:

2. Order of the Phoenix
3. Philosopher's Stone
4. Deathly Hallows, parts I and II
5. Prisoner of Azkaban
6. Half-Blood Prince
7. Goblet of Fire

The Wolverine was not a very good film to me at all.

Origins: Wolverine, while not great, was better.

Should Chase Meridian have returned? She basically could have easily had the role Julie did have, aside from already knowing Bruce was Batman, but that might have been too underwhelming for, and misuse of, Kidman after having a bigger role before in BF and also felt weird for Batman to mostly, though briefly, be interested in and lusting after someone else. BF did seem to try to say that Chase was the one.

Also, could it have been cool if B&R had also used "Kiss from a Rose," its meaning with the film having Ivy now seen as being pretty different?

I don't think she should have returned.

By the way, Julie Madison didn't find out Bruce was Batman. She was rather underused.
