2 other cues that appear to be missing which is mentioned in the Omni Music Publishing score book is

*Morning After

*Or Their Sons...

We've never been able to locate the original scoring masters for this film. There are two possibilities: Theses two cues were never recorded or they were recorded and never transferred to another format.

THE DANNY ELFMAN BATMAN COLLECTION: BATMAN / BATMAN RETURNS: LIMITED EDITION (4-CD SET) LLLC 1327

Limited Edition of 3000 Units

RETAIL PRICE: $49.98

In honor of Batman's 75th Anniversary, La-La Land Records, Warner Bros. and WEA proudly present THE DANNY ELFMAN BATMAN COLLECTION: BATMAN / BATMAN RETURNS: LIMITED EDITION (4-CD SET). Batman swoops back into La-La Land with this thrilling re-issue of our previously out-of-print deluxe editions of Danny Elfman's classic, original scores to the Tim Burton-directed BATMAN (1989) and BATMAN RETURNS (1992), presented together for the first time! While the programs presented on these discs are the same as found on our acclaimed initial releases, BATMAN (1989) has been overseen by producer Neil S. Bulk and newly remastered by James Nelson from recently unearthed score elements, resulting in better sound quality. (BATMAN RETURNS is the same master as our previous release.) Produced by Neil S. Bulk, Dan Goldwasser and MV Gerhard, this special release of 3000 units features gorgeous, completely re-designed packaging by Jim Titus. The 48-page booklet carries over the liner notes from our previous editions. The populace of Gotham would agree – this is one knockout presentation of two iconic scores from a legendary Dynamic Duo in its own right... Tim Burton and Danny Elfman!

I also read speculation in this thread that perhaps "Joker's Muzak" is the hidden easter egg on disc 2 at the end. No, that's the celeste isolated from "Beddy Bye".

Neil

Thanks for clearing that up.  The reason I had thought that the hidden easter egg on disc 2 at the end was possiblly "Joker's Muzak" was because the use of the choir in the backround starting at the 6:02 mark was humming a humorous version of Beautiful Dreamer.  Which to me is very Jokeresque.  Although the celeste instrument that is islolated from "Beddy Bye" doesn't appear until much later on at the 6:54 mark.

I'm not sure where you're getting those times from. The cue doesn't run that long. The first part is vocally slated 7m1/2 which is "Photos/Beautiful Dreamer". They did a pick up ending for that cue (we present both on the album) and then we end the album with the celeste from "Beddy Bye" (5m3).

Two more things. Since no music appears in reel 10 until the Percy Faith recording of "Beautiful Dreamer" it was another reason why we thought this cue would be "Joker's Muzak". This wasn't done haphazardly. It was an educated guess made with all of the facts available at the time.

I also read speculation in this thread that perhaps "Joker's Muzak" is the hidden easter egg on disc 2 at the end. No, that's the celeste isolated from "Beddy Bye".

Regarding "Joker's Muzak", when we were producing the La-La Land album, we didn't have access to the printed score now in your possession. We did have very crude dot matrix printed spotting notes from 1989, that weren't the most detailed. I've seen spotting notes broken down by frame. In comparison, the Batman spotting notes gave a description of a scene and a running time. For "The Truth" the spotting notes indicated 10 seconds followed by "Joker's Muzak" which was closer to the running time of the cue we had so we went with the info available. I'm glad this mystery was solved and I'll be sure to re-title "The Truth" and sequence it appropriately in my iTunes.

How many copies are left of the B89 release?

No idea. Remember that was limited to 5,000 copies while BR was 3,500 copies.

La-La Land just said they have 100 copies left. If you don't have this album yet, now is the time to get it.

What was his logic behind this? Is it explained in the booklet?

It's his preferred listening experience. It's so easy to re-organize the tracks in iTunes to make a new playlist it's really a non-issue.

Then rip it onto your computer and/or ipod and make a chronological playlist.
I dont intend to buy it

Because of the sequencing?
