There were some great movies during the summer of '89. Along with Batman there was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Licence to Kill, Ghostbusters 2, Parenthood, The Abyss, When Harry Met Sally, Uncle Buck, Road House, Dead Poets Society. All of them amongst my favourites.

WOW. After reading that article, I found out that I was born on the EXACT day the trailer premiered on Entertainment Tonight. That was also the day the 1960's Batman television show first aired. I guess it was written in the stars that I would be a Batfan! :)
