Title: "Alfred, let's go photo-shopping."
Post by: DocLathropBrown on Wed, 9 Jan 2008, 21:28
Figured this thread might be of interest to you all. As they're mostly wallpapers.

First, here's the 20th anniversay DVD cover I created last night....

A wallpaper made with images from the B89 comic adaptation...

The same for BR...

A quick photoshop that wasn't very convincing, but didn't matter. Keaton's Bats and Reeve's Supes, hanging out...

This is something I'd like to see in the Superman/Batman comic book....

(https://www.batman-online.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg183.imageshack.us%2Fimg183%2F6173%2Fbs1st2kg2.th.jpg&hash=855e91563deeca74a7f22d0fe6a07a204b5557d1) (http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bs1st2kg2.jpg)

'Nuff said!

Jack Nicholson IS the Joker...

(https://www.batman-online.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg183.imageshack.us%2Fimg183%2F6899%2Fjnjokerjd6.th.jpg&hash=32d1a9df3eb4ff9ca55e46be0c92788b963ca648) (http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jnjokerjd6.jpg)

Michael Keaton IS Batman...

A simple one....

(https://www.batman-online.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg155.imageshack.us%2Fimg155%2F377%2Fnewbatpapersf7.th.jpg&hash=04107f1b0d7fb973f57e2482bd54dfe1ba57407e) (http://img155.imageshack.us/my.php?image=newbatpapersf7.jpg)

A darker one, using a line from the novelization of B89...

(https://www.batman-online.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg183.imageshack.us%2Fimg183%2F496%2Fnewkeatbatcopyqe6.th.jpg&hash=00cee22e7584baf1513c717eb2640d48eb1c9bf6) (http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=newkeatbatcopyqe6.jpg)

The BR logo, plain...

(https://www.batman-online.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg525.imageshack.us%2Fimg525%2F8133%2Freturnswallpaper3rqyo1.th.jpg&hash=834b61a38971817c3301cb6cb1f9fd45fb40e9e5) (http://img525.imageshack.us/my.php?image=returnswallpaper3rqyo1.jpg)

And finally, a much older one, to "pass the torch."

(https://www.batman-online.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg167.imageshack.us%2Fimg167%2F222%2Freins7ihaj5.th.jpg&hash=fec0f8b4dad3df5e19737eb63916114445cfc68b) (http://img167.imageshack.us/my.php?image=reins7ihaj5.jpg)

More will come as I make them, so keep checking back!

On your 20 ASE DVD back or front..it might be cool if you added something like "Exclusive Sneak Peek at Batman 'enter name here,' the new film from Warner Brothers and Tim Burton that completes his vision of a Batman trilogy."

But that's unrealistic. That will never happen, and I tried to make my cover look like a DVD set that we would actually get!

I wouldn't be so sure. Never say never. The buzz is after the Nolan Trilogy concludes. Burton plans on revisting the franchise in one way or another. Game Informer said he wanted to do another film.

Besides. It never hurts to dream.

Hype may indeed be hype. and considering WB is very happy with this new franchise. It might be out of the cards.

Me too. Burton is not one for sequels at the best of times, and he was hurt by his departure after returns.  He is the kind of guy that would not return.  If anything, I want to see Beetlejuice Returns!

"Nice f@#king Model!" Actually sir.  ;)

I think eveything that needed to be said in Beetlejuice was said. Although big plans were being made for something, talk started up last year about Beetlejuice meeting his "Urban" Double. Thankfully, it seems to have fallen through. Beetlejuice is a one shot deal, and adding a sequel to it might hurt the creds of the first one, but I wouldn't put it past the WB to try to make a buck off of a classic film one last time.

One that note, it's 2008, 20 years since Beetlejuice. A Collectors edition DVD would be praised.

"BeetleJuice....Beetlejuice.......Beetlejuice."

"It's Showtime."

"Now THAT is why I won't two shows a night anymore babe..I wont...wont do 'em."

Am I the only one who can quote chapter and verse for that movie?

Back to the Burton returning to the Bat franchise possibilties. I still get an ichy feeling in my cowl that there is a future of some sort. A film would be the dream of course. However, like what I've seen with Mr. Richard Donner, another director who was ousted off a film of the genre, Superman II, who has writen a few comic book storylines in the past few years, I have a feeling as time moves on and the Nolan trilogy concludes. there will be some kind of reawakening for the Burton films and he might, perhaps getting Sam Hamm and Daniel Waters together to pen a story for a one shot graphic novel, something all inclusive. Some kind of closure is comeing. But, hey, its just a feeing, right

If you're like me, you think of your computer as the Batcomputer. And thus, I have the perfect wallpaper for you....

Is that a screen grab or something else?
Title: Re: "Alfred, let's go photo-shopping."
Post by: DocLathropBrown on Mon, 23 Jun 2008, 19:08
Screen grab, actually. Really quick one to do. Five minutes.

Screen grab, photoshop, enlarge to fill 1280-1024 backdrop, blur once to hide low-res screengrab artefacts.

Just did it on a whim for myself, but figured I'd share.
Title: Re: "Alfred, let's go photo-shopping."

cool, it looks good - the blur made me think it was a rare pic!
Title: Re: "Alfred, let's go photo-shopping."
Post by: DocLathropBrown on Mon, 23 Jun 2008, 19:24
Yeah, the nature of the picture's source (A/V hookup on a non-HDTV, well, it WAS 1989) made it easy to mask poor quality, because the picture's source was low quality itself! Had it been a screengrab of Keaton or something, it would have been very obvious.

A/V hookup on non HDTV (captured on film) -> low-res, 480p DVD -> enlarged image in Photoshop. The quality is so incredibly bad, but you can't notice. Thank you last-gen television tech!

I'd be there no matter what but I'd only freak out about it if Keaton came back to the role.  I hope you're right but I just don't see it happening.

If they did make another Burton/Keaton Batman the second it starts filming i'll be at the movies waiting for tickets to go on sale  ;D.

And awesome Two-Face pic i have been waiting ages for someone to make a good Billy Dee Two-Face so all i can say is thanks and great job. And a gun or coin instead of the phone would look awesome but also have you thought about putting him in a half-half suit? just as long as it's not the same as Tommy lee Jones wore.
