Ok so I am FINALLY getting around to (trying as best I can) to edit batman forever to flow better with Batman Returns. Im adding Elfmans score from the previous two batman films, new credits, added deleted scenes, removed lots of the corny dialogue, removed the vegas like gotham, added a bluish tint to the city instead...oh yeah and the batmobile is the same as the previous two...
Ive also added some of Elfmans other music from his other movies for the villains themes...so far I am very pleased with the result. Hopefully I can get it done in a week or two. Ill make a iso file of the dvd and upload it to a bittorrent and post the link here when its done.
Excellent, its sounds very ambitious.
did u supper empose keatons head on val?
good luck :)
I think you guys will like it, not trying to boast...but I was impressed with what I just came out with...the rough cut is pretty cool, you guys will like this!
you've interested me. I can't wait to see it.
Any chance of a preview?

to give you guys the idea of removing all the crappy red lighting which was utter nonsense!
cool stuff. looking forward to this.
WOW
http://rapidshare.com/files/139540138/Sequence_01.wmv.html
ok so here are two scenes to give you guys an idea. Its in low resolution to keep the file size down, but it wont be a problem for the iso dvd.
The final file will be in iso, so when you download it, burn it to a dvd.
The two scenes are:
Two Face at the bank
and
Batman fighting two faces thugs in the bank.
Hope you guys like it.
It seems a little dark, but is probably just the video compression.
Nice use of Sleepy Hollow!

yeah I think thats what it is, nice you spotting sleepy hollow,I find it feels alot like the returns theme.
im waiting for this, is a great idea
Very cool!
Ok so I got it done, its rendering right now, should be uploaded in a few days.
Here is what is different:
-About 30 minutes removed
-Added a few deleted scenes (Bruce in the Cave with the Giant Bat, Bruce thinking about quitting, Bruce talking to Dick in the Weight room) etc...
-Elfmans score is back in the movie, Along with other themes from other movies he has done aka Sleepy Hollow for the villains.
-Removed the Vegas like Gotham
-Added some filters on the video to removed pink and red colors
-Lots of the corny dialogue from Riddler and Two Face is removed
-New Opening (Two face escapes arkham)
-New Credits (Tried to make it as much like Burtons credits as possible)
-New Ending: A view of Gotham City with Batman at the top of a building, ala the previous two batman films (Note: I did not use the footage from the first batman movie)
The features on the dvd are:
-Movie
-Chapters
-And some other little videos I put on there, like trailers for the other burton batman movies, a featurette on Harvey Dent from the Batman SE DVD, and an Image Gallery.
Note: I want to say I do not think Batman Forever can be saved no matter how much editing goes into it, but I tried my best.

LOL! Good point! Almost ALL of there stuff is garbage, I tried my best to keep whatever good stuff they had, present, but at certain points I couldn't help it. Two face was removed alot for sure! Riddler was removed quite a bit as well, you'll definetly notice the difference during the final confrontation between him and batman.
true forever is unsaveable, but i cant wait to see what you've got anyway.
just a heads up its all done, going to upload the torrent file here, all I ask is you guys seed it too. thanks.
ok so the file is around 3GB and I know thats alot for some people to download. Im thinking of making a bunch of copies and sending them out to people for free. Let me know if you guys are ok with this...ill need your addresses and I know some people dont like giving those out, but let me know guys.
So, where's the torrent link?

So, where's the torrent link?
sorry about that, i was going to upload the torrent to thepiratebay but I still have not recieved a confirmation email. Anyone have any suggestions where I should upload the torrent?
just been trying to get this onto a bittorrent, seems these guys dont want me to join, havent been sending me a email confirmation. damN!
I'm interested in seeing Batman Forever with the Danny Elfman soundtrack. I'm sure it would bring some sort of quality to the film.
Redskull, did you already receive any torrent confirmation from any of the sites you posted this fan edit on?
http://demeterpictures.com/batman.html
Ok here is part 1, quality aint good for this video sharing site, but i couldnt get the torrent to work, and this helps so I dont have to send out the dvd to anyone.
The dvd is of much better quality though.
Ill get part 2 up soon.
I enjoyed that.
It would be great to see on DVD.

i added part 2, dont know if you saw that already.
AHHHHHHH! MY GOD this is FANTASTIC. I've only been through part of the intro...the first scene and the main titles. This is so close to the real thing. You gotta spread the word about this.
I particularly love the way you mixed the music. It FITS like a GLOVE!.

thanks but remember this is batman forever, I firmly believe BF cannot be saved no matter what! Plus because of the resolution of the video on the site, there are some problems they just arose. For example when edward knocks out stickly it freezes on his frame. On the dvd it flashes to black for a moment, but I guess the flv couldn't do that.

yea bf still sucks big time. It's still carrey and val, not Keaton. But still you made it suck less and thus you should be proud. The Intro and MainTitles is epically authentic to what a Burton Forever might have been.
some people have been messaging me about getting a dvd, just pm me your address and ill send one out to you.
Ok all those who have asked for a dvd have had one sent out to them. However from now on ill have to ask for a 10 dollar, er...donation... just because of the:
4$ shipping
1$ the disc itself
2$ Burning the disc
3$ adding the art work to the disc
I have to do make each one individually, just letting you guys know. Hope you understand.

I am now, unfortunatly, I make ZERO profit out of them, just to cover the cost of making the thing.
I would like to buy one, but the quality doesn't look that good. Are you sure it's better on DVD?

oh yes it is! trust me! just pm me and will work it out in the pms.
Having just seen the first part, I hate to say it, but I found this edit hard to watch.
The way some scenes start and end abruptly works against the flow of the movie.
The music and the audio is big problem. You chose some good music to replace Elliot Goldenthal's score (even though I really like his score as well). However, the music is too unbalanced with the audio and dialogue. I guess you had to up the music volume so you don't hear the original music, which is the main problem with the edit.
If you had an edit without any music to work with, you could probably edit more freely.
I also disagree with your choice of giving people credit for this film, who aren't even in it or didn't work on it. I know it was for the feel, but it just seems wrong to me.
The Batmobiles jumping back and forth between the 1989/ 1992 version and the 1995 version also doesn't work well. Either you leave the 1995 Batmobile in this, or you take the time to superimpose a 3-D rendering of the 1989/ 1992 Batmobile. I know, this involves a crazy amount of rendering work and precision, but that would be the only way to do this properly.
Removing the Warner Bros. Logo morphing to the Batman symbol was another thing I can't agree on. I remember thinking how cool that was back then, and I still think it is today.
You could have used the opening logo, extend it slightly with the audio of rain and thunder, have a lightning go off, showing the symbol flashing black and white and then cut to the exterior shot of Arkham Asylum.
I also liked the Helicopter/ acid safe scene and found it weird you removed it for the most part.
However, I really liked seeing the title appear with the "The Bat must die!" writing in the background, followed by that cool brain title sequence.
I'm not trying to destroy your efforts.
It must be very hard trying to turn this movie basically into another, changing the feel of the film, changing scenes and not even having the right source material to do it with.
With all this said, I still look forward to seeing the finished film.
Hopefully, you don't take this critique in a bad way.
What movie did the credits seq come from? The background brainwave stuff?

Can you add the cast to it? Like Michael Keaton Robin Williams Billy Dee Williams. And, can you make Batman Forever in the same font as the opening credits?

ehhh that cover is decent.
I really like the green Batman embelm nice work.
Ok so I finally think I am done, alot of changes have gone into the final cut of this movie and the one online is a much older cut than the one I just finished. I have a question to pose to you guys.
Some have said they don't like the keaton, williams etc names in the credits, should I change them to the forever people?
thanks.

Darken the 89 logo and use a little contrast, add green in the color balance and the hue/saturation and there you have it!

lol ok troll, anyways you forgot something else, nice try though...
but anyways, back to the original question asked, should I put the cast members names in the credits or leave it as is?
Hey Im no troll just explaining how I would do that effect, how am I a troll? Theres tons of people that have already done what your trying to do, I commend you for it, but its nothing new to me my friend, I am far from a troll, I support bat-fans in any decision they make to try to bring something new and innovative to the batman universe!! :)

Hey Redskull, I made a cover for the DVD for everyone.
No bashing but all you did was erase the cast and added names to it, its the SE DVD cover released in the UK!
Wasn't it out in every country, i have that one and i don't live in the uk?

Thats weird the covers to mine are just the regular posters for the films, I actually wish I got the ones you got then, I like them just a tad better.
The merry ol' land of Aus lol. Australia, they came out roughy 2002 or 2004 i don't remember so well, but i still see them in shops.

You could state the obvious or you could at least applaud the kid for wanting to be apart of something.
Applauding someone for doing a simple task a child could do in paint is kinda, I dunno giving too much credit.
Its cool and all, but anyone could do that!

So everything that has been posted could have been said differently. Sometimes things dont come across as they should. Continuing this little argument will result in a spanking. Move along.

Some of these points I agree with and I ended up going back and editing further the cut I made. I think it is more of an improvement now from reading this. While I kept the same scenes in and out, the transition from scenes has been re-worked as well as the music in the movie. I thank you for the advice.
Quoteor you take the time to superimpose a 3-D rendering of the 1989/ 1992 Batmobile
That would require a professional 3-d rendering artist.
Put Kilmer, Jones, Carey & Kidman's name back in.
