Maybe a dumb question but did Nicholson have a stunt double? Especially in the bell tower scene?
Nicholson did have a double, who was around a lot apparently. Strange that you never hear much about him.
According to IMDB, Joker's uncredited stunt double was played by Gerry Crampton, who appeared in other movies such as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dr. No and Gandhi. I imagine that he must've performed Jack Napier's fall in the Axis Chemicals scene.
