This isn't so much of a review, but I have always felt that Batman Returns is a great Christmas movie.

Ok, ok, ok - so it doesn't have Santa or nothing, and yes I know it seems obvious because it is set at Christmas.  But my Christmas wouldn't be complete without having it on.

My thoughts on Batman Returns is that it is very similiar both artistically and visually to Edward Scissorhands. And i think of it as a very dark, macabre, bizarre, twisted and demented fairytale. And i love the very mature nature of the movie. It is definitely not for kids.

Quote from Tim Burton in 1989 regarding a possible sequel (Returns!)

?..the only thing to do is to make the sequel unbelievable, and take it to the next level - I think it must get weirder before it gets anything else. And I don?t mean that in an abstract way. I mean that in a way that?s interesting."
