Interesting. Like you said, I don't completely agree( I thought Joker's three goals were handled well; besides which he acts on whim in the first place), but the writer offered his opinions and made his points in an articulate and respectable fashion. I envy him for that.
When I first came to this site, there was a thread that mentioned the purple splotch on Joker's neck. Despite seeing the movie a million times, I had never noticed that before.
Now, every time I see a picture of that scene (like in the article) I can't stop staring at that damn purple ink blot.

On a similar note I just learned about a scene in Star Wars where a stormtrooper hits his head on a low hanging door. Never noticed that one either.
